Barry Rowe was born in the automotive city of Coventry and studied graphic design at the College of Art. After many years as an art director, he dedicated his time to automotive commissions from 1996 and in 1994 won Southebys Art Award for his portrait of five times world champion Juan Fangio. His style of painting soon became instantly recognisable and his ability to paint landscape in such a distinctive way set new standards for the automotive scene. Exhibitions of his nostalgic paintings have been held in London, Silverstone, Goodwood, Paris, Monte Carlo, Meadowbrook and the Pebble Beach show in 1996. He also won the Award of Excellence at Meadowbrook Hall in Michigan in 1997 and in the same year was elected to Americas prestigious Aoutomotive Fine Art Society. He now concentrates on commissions from large international companies and recognised automotive art collectors around the globe.
