BATTLE OF BRITAIN  In the summer of 1940, the RAF had approximately 9,000 pilots and 5,000 aircraft, most of which were bombers. By the 1st of July, the Commander of Fighter Command, Marshal Hugh Dowding could provide just 1103 fighter pilots - Meanwhile, the Luftwaffe comprised 1450 fighter pilots, many with experience from the Spanish Civil War just a few years earlier. Defending Britain against the Luftwaffe were the Hawker Hurricane and Supermarine Spitfire squadrons of the RAF. As a tribute to these Pilots we have probably the largest collection of pilot signed battle of Britain artwork available anywhere. VIEW NOW |

THE DAMBUSTERS STORY 
As you would imagine, we have a great deal of artwork available depicting events from the most famous bomber raid of the second world war - the night of the Dambusters raid. With so much artwork available, we have produced a series of articles telling the whole story of the raid from the build-up to the aftermath, punctuated with artwork depicting moments from the raid. We also include details of the crew of every aircraft involved.
